Travel to Phuket Island – The pearl of the Andaman Sea

Phuket is the most famous travel destination in Thailand. It is located around 900 kilometers from the capital Bangkok and it is one of the favorite holiday destinations in Asia. With its 539 square kilometers, Phuket is also the biggest island in Thailand (there are more than 1.000 islands in Thailand!). Phuket hides dozens of amazing sandy beaches in large and small bays, rich tropical vegetation and landscapes. So, it is no surprise why Phuket is often referred to as the most beautiful place in Asia. The impression is even better when people take a look at the crystal clear waters and the incredible coral reefs in the Andaman Sea.  This island has attracted more than 5 million tourists last year. All of them have enjoyed the beauties that this island offers – tours to nearby islands, hikes in the jungle, water sports, visiting old Buddhist temples, natural attractions like waterfalls and wildlife, visiting Muay Thai camps and much more.

Those looking for a resort or a hotel offering quality services should take a look at the small Nakalay Bay and Nai Harn beach. They can also be found in Patong Beach as well as on the beaches located on the north like Nai Yang and Bang Tao beach. These places are perfect for relaxation and reenergizing. On the long Karon beach, which is especially peaceful during the summer period, you will find numerous interesting bars as well as few good restaurants and smaller stores. Kata beach is very attractive for younger generations and this is also a place where you can find many small restaurants, bars and most of the scuba diving schools in Phuket. Kata Noi beach is one of the most beautiful locations on Phuket Island. Those who enjoy crowds and overall vibrant atmosphere should definitely go to Patong Beach. This is the place where you can easily find a large number of good restaurants, shops, bars and nighclubs. During the monsoon period (tarting from May until October) most of the scuba diving schools and water sport centers are closed because of the weather. Although any period of the year is good for visiting this amazing place, the best time to visit is from November to April.
